A total of four vending machines have been installed in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture Central Post Office and Shizuoka South Post Office. The vending machine sells Ishigaki strawberries grown along the coast of Suruga District. Every morning, staff put freshly picked strawberries in the storage compartment. The unmanned vending machine is part of the post office’s efforts to support the promotion of the local industry. The post office has used the available space to install a total of four strawberry vending machines. Each storage compartment on the machine has 200 grams of fresh Ishigaki strawberries. The package price is 300 yen. It is worth mentioning that this is the first strawberry vending machine installed in the post office nationwide. A vending machine selling fresh strawberries at the Shizuoka Central Post Office in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City. It is reported that this strawberry vending machine was made by students of Hamamatsu Design College, which features the Aoi ceiling and strawberries of the Tokuyama family, followed by the famous building of the Tokugawa family. Takano Takano, chairman of the Shizuoka City Postmasters Association, said: 'Ishigaki strawberries are a specialty of Shizuoka Prefecture.
